Punctuation and Capitalization Rules for Titles

Titles are generally not sentences and do not require a period at the end.

Capitalize every word in a title except

  1. articles (a, an, the)
  2. short prepositions (in, on, of, for)
  3. coordinating conjunctions (but, and, nor, so, or, yet)

…UNLESS these are the first or last word in the title, in which case you do capitalize them.
